Why do I have to wait up to 30 days for my order?
What if I want different colored yarn for my item?
How do I order a sized item?
Danielle F. Asked: How do you determine the price of an item?
Why do I have to wait up to 30 days for my order?
Each item in my shop is hand made once an order is placed. This process assures that each customer will receive a one-of-a-kind item made especially for them. Crochet is a skill that takes a bit of time and care to be made properly and professionally; therefore, a 30 day window of availability is suggested for my larger or more detailed items. Smaller projects (such as my dish cloths and hats) can be produced and mailed in a much shorter period of time.
Each order will be followed by an e-mail to confirm the details, and will provide an estimate of availability.

Danielle F. Asked: How do you determine the price of an item?
Very good question Danielle! First, the cost of material varies depending on type, and some are much more expensive than others. For instance, natural, organic fibers are more costly than synthetic ones. These costs are the foundation of each project. Second, one ounce of material usually takes me about an hour to go through. For every project, I add my hourly rate estimated by the amount of ounces used to complete a project. For instance, a project that uses 20 ounces of material will probably take me about 20 hours to complete. Therefore, each of my products are priced based on the cost of materials, plus my hourly rate multiplied by the total ounces of the project. Crochet is a skill that takes time and commitment in order to complete a professional looking product. While some of my items are more expensive than others, please remember that this is a hand-made piece of art.
